Over the past few years there has been a tremendous growth of internet usage in Africa following the simultaneous growth of smart phone users in Africa. According to Cisco Global Cloud Index, it’s been predicted that the Middle-East & Africa will post the world’s highest cloud traffic growth rate, growing more than 8-fold from 2013 – 2018.
The internet penetration rate of Africa as at 2014 reveals that Africa covers about 26.5% of total internet penetration rate compared to the rest of the world.
